Filming a US Real-Estate Series in the Algarve for Estate Media

In November 2025, Estate Media, the Beverly Hills media company behind shows like “Mansions & Martinis”, brought Josh Flagg and Tracy Tutor of “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” to the Algarve. They needed a local team to film two four-part series on the region’s homes, golf and lifestyle. I was their camera and drone operator, and I handled the local side.

Before the shoot

I arrived three days early. I requested the filming and drone permits from the town halls and the maritime authority, so we could fly over the sea and the beaches, and scouted every location. By the time the talent landed, each day had a shared plan with timings and contacts.

Six days, two stars

We filmed Josh Flagg from 1 to 3 November and Tracy Tutor from 4 to 6 November. In Lagos, that meant Palmares Resort, the cliffs of Ponta da Piedade, the beaches of Dona Ana, Canavial and Meia Praia, and the old town. In Vilamoura and Loulé, the Old Course, the Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas and Loulé market; on the last day, Victoria Golf Resort and The Els Club.

My crew was three people: me, a second camera operator, and Yishyene as assistant. We filmed interviews, followed the talent, met local people, and filmed Josh and Tracy with golf, restaurant and dinner staff, while I flew the drone for the coastline and the resorts.

The result

Estate Media’s team edited both series in-house and published the episodes on Estate Media’s YouTube channel. I’ve collected them in a playlist on my channel.

What they said

“Their aerial and drone work gave us coastline shots that elevated the whole series. They were also great with our American TV reality talent, making everyone feel comfortable on camera. Highly recommend to any production shooting in Portugal.”
