Penthouse in Porto, Portugal

Viagem Hospitality Group, which runs luxury rental properties in Porto and the Douro Valley, hired me to film a penthouse in Porto’s historic centre. The owners wanted a film they could use to sell or rent it, so it had to show both the apartment and the city that comes with it: a terrace that opens onto Porto’s UNESCO-listed historic centre.

I filmed alone over two days in December 2020: the interiors, the terrace and its views, and the streets around the building. I also flew the drone around the penthouse and over other parts of Porto to show where it sits in the city. Flying that close to the building and above the street took care, but it gave the film some of its best shots.

I edited and colour graded a three-minute film, which is still on Viagem’s YouTube channel. I also photographed Prince’s Palace, their apartments in an 18th-century building near the Clérigos tower.
